So, I have an SA XD SC in 9mm, and I absolutely love it. But I feel like I always shoot low with it.
I position the target above the front sight like I was taught in my CCW class:
((((T))))
[0][0][0]
but, it never fails. The bullet goes lower than the intended spot on the target.
I don't think it's my stance or grip (I've had people watch me), and others have shot lower with my gun as well, AND this phenomenon occurs with both mine and my wife's pistols (same gun). However, when I position the front sight in front of the target, I tend to hit dead on. And, I've read elsewhere that some guns have to have the front sight in front of the intended target instead of below it.
The questions are:
Has anyone else experienced this with the XD SC?
Is this how I should be firing my gun even though I have been taught differently?
Am I insane?
Thanks for your input/advice/counsel!
