The "Geechee Gunfighters" and the Palmetto Gun Club are hosting "the Gunfight at Givhans Ferry", the 2013 Southeastern Regional Match (SASS cowboy action shooting) from November 7-10. The club is in the Summerville-Ridgeville area (inland from Charleston if you are not familiar with the area).

If you have never attended a cowboy action match this is a good one. Lots of shooters (and lots of GOOD shooters) to watch. Cowboys shoot steel targets so it's a good spectator match (no waiting for pasting targets) and you will see shooters of all ages competing. Shooters tend to break out their best costumes for these big matches and even the guncarts are worth seeing. We have lots of couples and families in the sport and cowboy matches tend to be "family friendly" events. The ladies keep up straight.
There will be a vendor area if you feel like shopping. There will be a couple of cast bullet vendors there; if you are a handloader you will be able to find some good prices on cast bullets and maybe even some other components that have been absent from store shelves.
Spectators are welcome and there is no charge; just bring "eyes and ears".
If anyone attends, please reply to this thread with some feedback.
