A panel of South Dakota lawmakers has passed a bill to let legal immigrants in the state apply for concealed weapons permits. The House State Affairs Committee unanimously approved the bill Monday, just days after a federal judge ruled in favor of a legal immigrant who sued the state because he wasn't allowed to renew his permit.
