I usually go camping in GA and FL and haven't camped much in South Carolina except when hunting.

What are the rules and regulations when it comes to camping (either tent or camper) in South Carolina Parks?

If I remember correctly, one cannot CC in a federal park, but there is no mention to state parks in the law. Although I know that Mile Creek Park has had a non-legally binding sign in the past.

I thought the Federal Government repealed the GUN-FREE National Parks a couple years ago.
Has it been repealed...can't image that with our current House of Representatives.

As of Feb 22, 2010, it is legal to carry in a National Park if you may legally carry in the State you are in. Use caution as some parks are in multiple states.

Tents & campers are considered your domicile and can be treated like your home. State parks are also lawful to CC in SC with valid CWP. The strange thing with Federal parks is that while you can carry now in the Fed park, you cannot carry in any of the "Federal buildings" within the park. Makes it a little rough to go to the bathroom unless you find a tree.

The irony with Fed parks now being legal was that the Repubs tacked it onto one of Obama's prized bills and he had no choice but to sign it. Can't recall which one though.
