i just noticed at my last trip to Philsons another tamper resistant metal box up by the range notice board.

this one is for DONATIONS. it listed 4 ranges that will benifit.

so im thinking, if the government closes down again will the range close if it is being partlialy funded by private money?

isnt that just like our leaders to ask the people to pay for the projects they started?

and lastly, when they start getting donations will the governments share start going into someones pocket, like what was education money but when the lottery started funding education the government money stopped and went somewhere else?

I've seen one of those at Indian Creek. There are volunteers that go there and clean up. I've seen a guy and an olde lady up there picking up brass and shells along with various other range trash.

but "volunteers" didnt put up the donation boxes.

the guy that cleans up and picks up brass at Philsons was there one day and i offered to bring a lawn mower just to cut the grass on the hill in front of the tables. he said that would be a federal offense. got all upset. the convicts come down here and do that.

i said get em down here, the grass needs cutting. "well i dont have anything to do with that, they just show up."

so when is the next Shootzenfest?

Maybe I should get some of those boxes and mount them around in various places. Maybe we should hide a gamecam and see who's cleaning it out.
