Slidefire stock

At the risk of being labeled a tacticool dork, I wanted to share my experience with the Slidefire solutions bumpfire stock. When I'm at the range, I don't do mag dumps and typically I like to work on my precision shooting, but the ability to have a simulated full auto for the fraction of the price was too tempting. I had to buy one and try it. These vids are of a member of the other forum who wanted to try this stock. We met up and I let him use my lower. I'm a lefty, so this is the lefty version of the stock but it still worked pretty good for him. These were 30 round mags.

If I were you, I WOULD NOT post this ANYWHERE ELSE on the web unless you want the ATF knocking on your door. Using such a thing and posting it on the web is pretty much like kicking an ATF hornet nest.

There was such a thing called Akins Accelerator that did pretty much the same thing. It was approved by the ATF and shortly thereafter, was yanked off the market.

When you think of what you actually get, it's overpriced for a couple of pieces of plastic. If you think about it as having full-auto like firing as an option on your carbine, then the price seems really cheap compared to a registered lower or RDIAS.

I know all about that. And so do the makers of the Slidefire stock. They include an approval letter from the ATF with your stock when you buy it. Of course, Akins had an approval letter to begin with as well, initially, but the ATF reversed their decision. There is a risk that they may do that in the future with this stock as well. This doesn't have any mechanical springs in it like the Akins did though. If and when they do ban this stock, I expect a knock on my door anyway, since I bought it with a credit card. It was a risk I was willing to take. We'll see.

It is from Slidefire solutions. They are $319. Which is WAY overpriced for a couple of pieces of injection molded plastic. It is a lot of fun.

There was a guy firing one (on a 5.7 AR) at Lexington range last weekend. Didn't spend much time checking it out, but seemed like the recoil was manageable. If I had extra cash to blow on the device and the ammo I would get one for the fun factor, but it doesn't seem to be very practical otherwise.

+1. This thing is a "hold my beer and watch this elephant dung" kinda deal. Great Christmas gift to give or receive!

I am a SlideFire dealer and SlideFire Soluction has a minimum advertised price (MAP) which is strictly enforced. If they find any of their dealers selling below the MAP they will pull their inventory and remove them as a dealer. Below is an excerpt from their dealer agreement,
"The Dealer Agreement governs Retail Sales of SFS products; NOT wholesaling, auctioning, or trading to other vendors. This agreement is so that SFS can protect our “customers” - our retailers â€" and ensure that the MAP pricing is enforceable and maintained. Selling to entities that have not agreed to SFS terms destroys MAP pricing and will eventually erode APPROVED dealers profits. Selling to other vendors is a violation of this agreement and will result in immediate Account Termination."

I have in stock the SSAR-15 SBS right and left handed for MAP of $359. I can get the SSAK-47 for the AKs for $289.

They also sell conversion kits which contains all the parts and tools necessary to convert an AR-15 with an A2 fixed stock to a six position buffer extension compatible with the SSAR-15. $60.
