First of all... Forgive my lack of knowledge if my terminology isn't quite right on everything. I'm relatively new to firearms.

I used to own a 9mm da/sa Sig Sauer P229 and I loved everything about the firearm other than the fact that every time I shot it it would throw the casing from the round directly back at me. I don't know how much, if any of this had to do with the type of ammo I used (which was mostly whatever the cheapest target ammo I could get.)

I was wondering if this was an issue that was common with the Sig 9mm handguns as I'm looking at shopping for a p229 9mm in the near future.

Any input would be appreciated!

I am by no means an expert but from the times I have seen or been around ejection issues it is has been caused by improper grip or not having a firm enough wrist or not having the your hand high enough in the grip (having a gap between web between thumb and finger and the beavertail of the gun). when my wife started shooting the gun would twist during the recoil and the casing would hit her. she learned pretty quick after getting one down the shirt and getting hit in the forehead to keep her wrist more firm.
