March 26th 500 rounds .40 Break in complete, new load 180gr extreme plated RNFP over 3.9gr E3 at 1.182 942fps (169 pf) - adjusted zero, worked steel poppers, two swinging 6in squares and 2 round 8in plates at 10-15-25 yds. Turn and shoots, strong hand, weak hand, transitions between popper arrays and static steel. Remember when the wheels fall off hold at 6 on steel. Draw speed improvement and improvement on first shot hits. Slide felt sluggish shooting 165gr WWB compared to 180gr load, felt like it might either be dirty or not enough spring for the load (12lb). Issue with off hand not getting around to the right when shooting weakhand only. Hold at 9 for weakhand only shooting and 180gr load. Center at 25, center at 35 hold upper 1/3rd on 8in plate at 50.

Major breakthrough in index from draw, continue dry fire, work 1 step reloads, work on transitions between targets, IceMagwell gives more positive feeling of trapping the hand under the beavertail - check on radius for "notched" beavertail and wide thumb safety.

Decided to make switch to limited for 2016 - additional range notes from 3/26/16 - MBX mags are 21 reloadable, STI mags are now 18/reloadable. Working with Carl two major themes keep comming up - dry fire is paying off on first round hits and overall trigger control. 2nd is no need to rush the sights, difference between a badshot and make up and just waiting on the sights is .3x to the waiting on sights with a better chance at Azone.

2/27/2016 100ish rounds Shot classifier match at H&H - first two runs were solidly C class - following stages were less than impressive. Issue tracking front sight in lower light - paint it like the 1911 knuckle head -

Notes from Roscoe Rattle - gun is not returning to flat position after multiple shots - re-evaluate recoil spring options - look into similar sight ratio as on 1911 - front blade seems "off" some how (maybe too narrow or not wide enough). Continue visual patience drills.

3/28/2016 150 rounds .40 180gr load - worked 25yd line pushing the pace - 3 Mikes on 100 shots - fastest string of 6 was 1.52 with all Azone hits. Average of 1.65 - gun didn't seem to settle in when taking multiple shots - continue to work on index. Evaluate steel grip options.

2/31/2016 200 rounds of .40 - practiced some different stage designs, continued to fail at visual patience (ok for USPSA but fail for time + scoring).

4/2/2016 - 200 rounds at OKC GC - Frustrating classifier today (Oh No 09-03) shot well right up until I drilled a no shoot for a M/NS. As I was charitably informed by Mr. Wall "your stage plans suck" - I will be looking into what I can do to get some real skill in this area.

Additional notes for 4/2/16 - gun continued to run well - one big issue on steel was swapping to a target focus - will check into painted FS.

4/7/2016 150 9mm prep for GSSF match I hate G26's

200 .40 - more accurate at speed - not sure how that's a thing but my mind seems to be "getting out of the way" when I go faster.

Apr 9 - shot glock match 350rnds (3guns) - able to maintain good sight focus on both guns but need to work on prepping trigger for smoother trigger control.

keys to speed - aggressive on the presentation - drive the gun.
