A friend has a SBE II that stovepipe's or leaves the empty on the bolt jam with a new shell on the carrier. They are heavy 3" waterfowl loads. I told him it was probably the extractor or extractor spring, maybe the ejector. Am I right?

Also please agree with me that too much oil is NOT the problem, so I can tell this other dumbass I am right! He got pissed off when I told him too much oil will never cause a stovepipe.

If you stand it on the recoil pad, to much oil will run into the recoil spring tube and the recoil spring guide will slow down with pushing the oil around as it is a fairly tight fit. just a theory that has worked in the past.
