RMR on a carry gun

Does anyone have or know someone running an rmr on a carry gun? Is it really the elephant dung or just elephant dung? I'm thinking in terms of a G19

I have an RM05 on my G17. I don't carry it but I could if I had an IWB holster. I'm not a huge fan if the Dual Illuminated model at night. It's not super bright without light on the little strip on top. Also a weapon light will wash out the dot a bunch. I love shooting the gun with the dot. It's super duper fast. The 9 MOA dot is too big in the little screen.

I'm putting an adjustable LED RM06 on my open 2011. Can't wait!

I put a 7 MOA dot RMR on my father in laws G17 and it was much better but I like small dots for more accurate shooting.

I wonder what battery life is like on the LED models?

I've got one on my G17 the exact model. Seems to work fine. I carry AIWB with the appropriate holster it's not an issue. Takes some practice to adjust the eyeballs and hands to it.

One key to carrying AIWB is no spare tire around the waist or it will be a bit more uncomfortable and tends to cause the mag and pistol grip to stick out, and defeats the purpose of CCW. If you want to open carry it it's relatively easy. I carry the wife's G34 sometimes. AIWB is odd at first but feels normal now.

I carried my G17 Open gun with the RMR last week. I had to remove the slide racker and just ran the factory barrel but the magwell or RMR wasn't obtrusive. The 23 round extended mag printed a little bit.
