Ok if this knee thing works like it should have I might find myself wanting to get back into some practical pistol shooting, I only have my Glock 23 cause it's my carry pistol and the other thing is I just don't shoot a mess of pistol stuff. I would like to shoot lead and while I know the Glocks are not known to be great with lead bullets can anyone recommend a good barrel to replace the factory tube with that I can shoot lead from without having to worry about things? I spoke with Mitch a long time ago when I was looking at reloading. He said he would not worry shooting 9mm lead out of a glock barrel but he would not recommend shooting lead put of a 40 glock barrel.

Doc, do you shoot lead from this barrel? is it a 40SW? just asking. I know if I get back into practical I'll be going thru some rounds and figure lead bullets would be the cheap way out of punching holes in cardboard. I did some searching last night and found a couple of different barrels and priced well I thought them to be kinda on the cheap side, do the aftermarket barrel support the 40SW case better than the factory barrels? ya know that little buldge issue from the case not being supported all that well. My brother had a G22 that he shot maybe 4000 rounds of lead ammo out of the stock barrel. No problems at all. I shot a ton of them myself, actually. That gun is still in the community somewhere, hopefully launching bullets.

I've put over 500 J&K bullets through a stock barrel without cleaning it, and never saw a sign of pressure. I did that two days in a row(cleaning between). That said, if you're worried about it just get an aftermarket barrel. KKM is the ticket. I have a lonewolf in my G34, but it seems to only have been good for about 25K rounds. It groups like elephant dung right now and I'm going to have to replace it.
