Any input on the best way to eliminate the dents in the magazine tube to allow the shells to go into an extension. Have seen them drilled out and also pressed smooth from the inside.

ah, Ive seen you already gotten all the input you need. I would go with the former. Use a sharp drill bit

After you drill it out, use a small half round bastard to clean it up. Keep going until the follower slides in without binding.

listen to bob too, youll have to clean it up like he said. If you can harness the power of a dremel, this is a great place for it.
