As seen in the other thread I got that REM 597 from armslist the other day. It was FILTHY, with extractor/spring/plunger totally missing. Grabbed it and 500 rounds for $100.
Got it all cleaned up, got the parts coming (tomorrow I hope). The OD green stock was scratched and rubbed up in a lot of spots, so I decided to refinish it. Here's some before pics of the stock.
