Man I started thinking I was finally getting knowledgeable about loading for my 38special, and now I see this? I need to go relearn everything!

There's at least 1 idiot out there that will try to install primers with a hammer now.
Good job Micah.
Someone is gonna take me seriously?

There are several revolver shooters that hand seat their primers on loaded ammo. I just prefer a big heavier trigger to not have the need for that.

I'm betting there are some out there just like that....
Used to work with one once upon a time. He tested his 30-30 loads in the back yard (in the city) by firing it up in the air. If it was loud enough it was a good load. I kid you not...

We have a Public sight in day at our range just before hunting season. One guy showed up with some .270 loads that had the shoulders set back so far it immediately caught my eye. The neck had to be 3/8 long or more.
I told him it didn't look like his loads were safe, but he said he had been shooting them for years. I didn't let him shoot. I could just see the consequences if that gun came apart, and it wasn't worth it.
