We have had this Redtailed Hawk visiting lately.......For several days it sits on our fences or digs in the back yard......This is unusal for them to get this close in suburban areas.

This Mockingbird isn't happy with the hawk at all.

Nice! We have regular visits from Cardinals, bluejays, squirrels, flying squirrels, and as of New Year's Day, deer. 4 does came to the edge of the small patch of woods about 20 feet from he porch. Only saw hem when I opened to door to let the dog out and they hopped off into the woods, hung around for a bit them wandered off.

Very cool. We had some mated pair of eagles behind us for a few years, but have not seen them in awhile. They were beautiful though.

This photo was taken by an amateur photographer who lives next door of the eagle behind my house. I once watched him chase a heron who had a fish in its talons. The eagle just about got him when the heron kamikazi'd into the pond in the backyard. The Heron later emerged and flew off with the eagle again in pursuit. It was cool to watch as they were only about 4 feet over the water. Looked like two fighter planes maneuvering.

Beautiful eagle. Since this party is started....some wildlife goodness from my father-in-laws place up at Bonneau Beach. The three foot gator popped up next to me in their canal, about 4 foot away. He was moving around the can also I figured I would try for a nice view from the pontoon boad.
