I took my wife out to shoot her first competition this weekend, so she would understand why I like to go shoot all the time. She did pretty good for her first time, and wants to know when the next match is so we can go again. We shot Action Rimfire and she wants a red dot for a 22/45 pistol. What do you guys recommend for a good Red Dot under $250?

I have a Bushnell TR25 on a 10/22 and had it one on a Beretta Neos 22. Worked well, I just like the open sights of the pistol better. I got a good deal on it. Is almost the same size as an Aimpoint Micro. They also have a RMR look alike, but I know nothing about it.

Here's mine.
I use a Primary Arms micro dot. It's an awesome sight for about $80
The only complaint I have about it is, there's no off switch. When you put the cover on, it puts it in battery saver mode, but it still doesn't last as long as I'd like so I keep extra batteries on hand.

I got glare from the flash in the pic, but you can still see the green dot on there.

I've got a cmore on a buckmark & its awesome.

That's what my kid runs on his Buckmark too. It's by far the most common sight on the rimfire circuit.

You can get them in stock on Midway for about 200...
