The feed ramps are M4 style on all of the uppers and rifles from PSA that I have seen in the past year or so.

Why do you want to do the change? What is wrong with The M&P.

I have had maybe 6 PSA's in the last year or so. They all have had the M4 feed ramp cuts...

All are except the M-16 A4 uppers. Here's their description of it:
"This forged 7075-T6 A4 AR upper is made to MIL-SPECS and hard coat anodized black for durability. Featuring machined T marks, and a mil-spec finish. These uppers are an overrun from a Mil-spec manufacturer for an M16 A4 Contract. The M16 A4 upper does not have M4 feedramps cut in the upper receiver as per mil-spec. "

Hey Steve, Just bought a new PSA upper from a dealer in Wis. I thought I was getting a standard M4 Carbine w/government profile. He contacted me and said he discovered it was a FN M4A1 SOCOM barrel and ask if I'd accept it???? Well Hell yes!!! It should be here Fri. I really had to see what I'd said yes to, so I figured I couldn't go wrong if it was FN to start with. Now he said it's 16" but I still don't know if it's 16" w/flash or 14.5 w/flash. Had to research the SOCOM and it was not really definitive about what length was SOCOM and it seemed a it could be either config! All I know for sure is to pull the hand guards and check for the flats on the barrel. Just wanted to touch base and maybe we can check it out! John Mc/N. Krackistan

again, whats all the hub bub?

i have 2, 556 uppers. both work great with my auto lower. 1 is 10.5 inch, 1 is 11.5 inch.

one didnt have m4 cuts. i dont remember which but a chainsaw file soon took care of that.

as for swapping an M&P, S&W for a PSA, why? id say S&W will hold more value because as of yesterday you can get a PSA rifle kit for $599 and a blem lower for $99.

i dont think we will ever see a S&W that cheap. but still 6 of one...

i have a S&W that i SBRed so it is here to stay. its upper is almost unfired on another lower. the 2 556 bbls are heavy machine gun bbls.

all my PSAs I built.

I'd prefer a mid-grade PSA to an M&P Sport. The sport is the bottom of the barrel for M&P's lineup.

oh, mine isnt a sport. they dont have a dust cover among other things, right?

mine and a PSA side by side look just alike., well did.
