Proposed Dem bill imposes huge new taxes on guns/ammo

Looks like there's a few misguided leftist souls in Congress that are now introducing legislation in Congress that would essentially quadruple the taxes on firearm and ammunition sales. I'm assuming that since they can't get an outright ban on guns, they plan to make them cost prohibitive to own or operate under the guise of reducing gun violence by making them less accessible to law abiding gun owners who purchase them legally and use them responsibly. Is highly doubtful that it would pass the gauntlet and come to fruition, but it's proof positive that the anti-gun crowd never sleeps, so pro-gunners need to be just as diligent in opposing these kinds of bills. As always, please contact your elected officials and let them know you expect them to oppose any such legislation.

Some State legislators around the U.S. have tried that in the past.

It didn't go very far.

All of the politicians are trying to get their ducks in a row for the 2016 elections. Even though they know it won't pass, they will put it up, and it goes on their voting record for the sheep in their district.

When you think about it, what could be more racist than making guns and ammo cost a lot more, making your middle class and lower unable to afford them to protect themselves? Someone should call them on this on racist grounds and let them answer the racism claims for awhile, rather than us having to always do that.

I'm not comfortable with the racist term being used in guns and ammo.
I've seen it used as an excuse to be racist, but in fact it has been its a tool for the anti's to use against gun owners to justify taking away our guns.
Higher taxes for gun control, encompasses all walks of life, except those that cannot afford to pay the taxes.

I hope this thread does not use racist terms as it continues.
