I just bought 1000 lbs of ball powder very similar to WST.

It meters very well, shoots clean, and has burn and recoil tendencies very similar to WST. I can't tell the difference.

I'm offering 10 lb jugs 150.00/ea.

PM me for more details.

It's commercial bulk. I think it may be WST, but can't say so for sure. Titewad is WST, under a different lable. St Marks makes almost all of the ball powder available in the states and packages it for different companies.

Jeff, is this what you have been using in your current ammo company runs?

Which burn chart? The one I've seen they are very close. It why I tried Titewad as a substitute in the first place. After trying it I had a distributor confirm it.

Edit, I just looked at several internet burn charts. One indicates it's a lot faster, Westrn Powder indicates it's almost the same. Several don't list Titewad.

I can tell you from real world use and chrono confirmation they are very similar.

I was looking at hodgdon website
http://www.hodgdon.com/burn-rate.html

Clearly conflicting info. I use them in the exact same amounts in 9 40 and 45. They chrono the same, they recoil the same, they produce the same accuracy. My distributor has confirmed they are the same.

But, that's neither here nor there as far as this product offering goes. The powder I have purchased is similar in every way to WST. The only thing I don't know is if it's reverse temperature sensitive.

No Steve, I'm unable to get what I've been using, this is by far the best alternate I've found.

I was under the impression that bulk powder, was designed to completely fill the case of the round that it was designed for, and is not the same powders that we buy.

Not necessarily. For Huge companies that run 250k rounds a shift, yes, but there is a lot of powder available for small and mid size ammo companies that is used in several calibers. That is true for both rifle and pistol.

My feeling is just because they are several apart doesn't mean they are different. Jeff put me down for 10# please.
It's certainly possible. I was going off of Hodgdon's chart since they distribute both Hodgdon and Winchester branded powders. But I seem to recall that Winchester was supposed to be responsible for the testing and development of load data for their stuff. I do know that at least one of the Ramshot powders is in actuality an Accurate powder just rebranded, so stranger things could happen.

Any chance you meant titegroup instead of titewad? It looks a little bit closer to wst in the hodgdon link

Lyman shows Titewad at 5th fastest-burning. Faster than Clays, Titegroup, and Solo 1000.

Lee shows approximately the same thing.
