A member asked me to post a group but interest thread for the following polymer lowers....

this is the Product http://newfrontierar...oducts_id=34089The cost is $109 The group buy price is $95 each for 10 or more. shipping for each 10 is $25 so for each one will cost $97.50 if we do the buy in 10'sThey all have to ship to the same place however, which we would still need an FFL willing to do the paper work. The 97.50 doesn't account for the FFL Transfer fee of courseThese are light weight complete Lowers, Made of polymer. Cheaper the several stripped lowers. I imagine they would be great for dedicated .22's or just that Light weight BUG out gun you need for the zombiesSomething to keep in mind if you want to make it a pistol caliber or .22 is this:.22LR, 9mm and other uppers that do not use a bolt carrier with a mil-spec slot. need this part: http://newfrontierar...oducts_id=46928

Please post how many you might want if we did turn this into a group buy.

I'd be in for one for a 22. A guy over on the 6.8 forum did a review of the new frontier lower and he really liked it. Said its holding up real well for being polymer.

I recently picked up one of these lowers but I bought a stripped one. I put a Spike's Tactical LPK in it. I didn't do any fitting to install the kit, but the selector could probably use a bit of fitting. The selector works but it takes a bit of effort instead of a flick of your thumb. The magazine catch is fairly snug as well. If they don't loosen up with some use then I'll open them up just a tiny bit. I liked how the lower fit with the upper, very nice and snug with no play. I haven't acquired the parts to assemble the rifle further, but I think it will work just fine. I have no regrets and I'd buy another in the future.

If I'm not mistaken the .22 hammer is a part in which you need to buy on your own seperately.

Depending on timing and funds I maybe in for one. Unfortunately some unexpected expenses popped up out of no where.

I am pretty sure you can drop in a mil spec hammer and get it to work in a 22 conversion as well.

Wormydog, did you have to change out the safety too or does the polymer safey work with a mil spec metal trigger group?

Looks like the total so far is...

Roadgear-2 (maybe 3)
Wildcat-1
Chase-1(maybe)
WillR-2
cheech-1

Total -6 maybe 8
