I started with a Glock 35. I got a custom engraved slide plate and a custom engraved and threaded 1/2-28 9mm conversion barrel from LWD. Competition adjustable rear sight / FO front sight. I had Steve Hazelwood cerakote the slide OD green (and he did a FantastiC job).

As far as the DIY stuff, today I spent a few hours on this gun. I installed a ghost rocket tactical/practical 3.5lb trigger with the TCT that you file until your trigger pull is crisp, short and has no overtravel. I then rigged up a soldering iron and stippled the bad boy. It feels really good, but I think I'm going to get some sand paper and give it a more "finished" look by getting rid of the few fine plastic filaments that remain on the tips. Now all I need to do is have Mike do an internal magwell for me.

And I forgot to mention the reason I got all of the engraving... B) B) B) B)

Hey now, when I let you feel my stippling, I didnt think you would steal my stippling. lol Its looking good, Why are you going with an internal magwell? didnt you have a Dawson magwell on it at the last Heartland match?

nice job man, have you shot it yet?
That rear sight looks waaaay right.
Does it shoot that far left?

Mine wasn't a dawson magwell. It was a cheap one from midwayusa that kept falling out, even when I used blue loctite on it. Instead of spending the money on a quality external magwell I decided that I'd just rather do the internal for now. When my reloads get better and if I decide to do external, I can still do so with the internal magwell.

ETA: yes, feeling yours was a big reason I decided to stipple. How much did you pay to get yours done? :P

I have shot it and it is actually accurate. As I cranked the rear to the right to sight it in I was thinking the same thing as you. Makes me glad that I got an adjustable rear sight. I haven't shot it with the new trigger or stippling yet though.

lol mine was already stippled when I bought it. I bought it from a deputy in Okmulgee County, he charges like $75 to stipple a Glock, I think that is all he will work on because he is a Glock Armor

THIS. Makes me like you even more than I already do. In a strictly heterosexual way......................

I was going to get a molon lave tattoo at first, but the more I thought about it (which I did a LOT of) I decided that my personal and political views go sooo much further than guns. Guns are just the main vessel by which I express my views B) . I have traveled abroad and know that there is no place like this country. However, it is a constant fight to keep the citizenry from being complacent about the gubmint forgetting who they work for. But I'd hate to mottle this thread with political talk.

What is the width of that front sight? it might be just the picture but it appears to be much smaller than mine.

Is your front sight dead center?
You could try moving it a little left to make the rear more centered. I had a pistol that shot left like that, & that's what I ended up doing on it. It just throws me off when I present the pistol & the back looks uneven like that. But if it doesn't bother you, leave it be.

Shouldn't be looking at the back of the pistol. :)

Maybe I should get rid of the "Don't Tread On Me" slide plate. Its like a girl wearing shorts with "Bootylicious" printed on the rear and not wanting you to look at her butt. I'm just kidding, I don't have a problem with the sights placement on the gun as long as the sight picture coincides with the bullet placement. Now only if I could get that bullet placement in the A zone more often :(
