People stealing guns in cars

It's an unintended consequence of a bad law. Don't allow people to carry into the building and they have to leave the gun in the car where criminals get them.

these statistics should be passed on to the people who vote on restaurant carry. The anti gun politicians say you should just leave your protection home When you go someplace that has restrictions so they do not get stolen in your car. If we can not protect ourselves who will protect us ?.

Statistics are irrelevant, as are facts. Raw political power is what matters. Politicians will vote for stupid, inane, bad laws if they are supported by the voters who put them into office.

Absolutely, write or call your legislator. But it is more effective to say, "Hey, by the way, I vote, I have ten friends who agree with me who also vote, I'm prepared to write a check to a pro-2A organization, and I volunteer my time to support pro-2A candidates." They don't care about facts, public safety, your safety, or statistics. They care about votes.

What makes you think such consequences are unintended? The hard core gun grabbers want you dead or in prison. They want thugs to steal your gun and commit more mayhem, thus justifying further gun control targeting people like you and your family. Indeed, they need such mayhem... the argument for gun control is made by ghouls standing on the graves of innocent victims. Without mayhem and victims they have no emotional case for more gun control.

There are some "useful idiots" who support such laws without thinking things through, but the ringleaders know exactly what they are doing.
