I tried to convince my wife do to the ferrari engine block (spotlessly cleaned) + sheet of tempered glass coffee table, but no go. I had an in on a free ferrari block when I was still racing. Spectacularly broken, too - the banks separated.

She had a fit when I tore down my '57 Sportster motor on the brand new $500 dining room table!!
Funny , that was 36 years ago
Still have her and the sporty but the table is long gone!

I got a Mosin 91/30 tore apart on the kitchen table right now... Been there for days... Of course our kitchen table is only a couple notches above firewood.

I hear people use kitchen tables to eat on... Is that true?
