OSU Practical Shooting Sports Team

I have been on this forum for a while now and shooting competitively for over a year and love it. My friend and I decided to start a club at OSU in the favor of Practical Shooting Sports. I went through the University, sat through boards, meetings, SGA, etc. and finally we are a recognized sports club at OSU. This is a great step in the right direction for the sport of competitive shooting and I wanted to be the first to tell my fellow Boomer Shooters that we have a recognized sports club! That being said we had our first meeting and over 20 people showed up interested in shooting matches. We have not even advertised yet so the twenty that showed up were people that looked for the club and sought me out to find it and word of mouth so that is pretty cool. I told them all about the different competitions out there and there was a lot of interest. Next semester we plan to get really serious with jersey's and range time etc. Our Facebook page if you guys are interested is www.facebook.com/OSUPSST. We would love your support and even input in the competitive shooting community here in Oklahoma. We would also love to work with other colleges trying to start a competitive shooting club cause lets face it a 3-gun Bedlam would be epic! I have contacted Texas A&M Aggie 3gunners and hope to shoot against them in the future. So we would like your support and next semester might be looking for sponsors. Thanks guys and Go Pokes!

It's great to see your determination and dedication pay off!!

I've still got some time on my G.I. Bill...maybe I should enroll at OSU/OKC?!
 
Jesse and Micah you should come back to school and be on the team! I am a USPSA member and I think a lot of the guys are interested in becoming members as well. There is a lot going on but I will try to keep important things up to date on here. Next semester we want to go as a team to shoot some big matches. It is going to be a great experience!

And yes we would love to talk patches on jerseys come this spring semester. good luck with your club. Be glad to offer my services to the club. FYI, you dont need to get serious by getting jerseys. In fact, jerseys have nothing to do with being serious about shooting.

Ill try to make it to heartland tomorrow and show you. Ill be a guy without a jersey that everyone is wondering how he could possibly be shooting so well without a jersey :haha:
