Older-action guns for fun

When I first got interested in this 3Gun thing, I didn't have what I needed to compete. And now that I do, and having read about the 3Gun Heavy Metal and similar matches, I wonder about a 3Gun match with older action guns. Seems like it'd be cool doing bolt-action, pump shotgun, and DA revolver. Or something similar, but not necessarily a copy of Cowboy Action Shooting. Maybe like WWI weapons, .30 caliber rifles, trench guns, and low-capacity semi pistols and DA revolvers. Just a thought. A fun one.

It is an interesting thought. I've seen other discussions about it, but other than the Zoot Suit shooters I've never heard of it getting off the planning stage.
