So, who can guess the age? I bought this today, for a better price than previously mentioned, and its a classic. A1 if I understand correctly. No brass deflector. Bore is super clean. Seller said it is a 1:7 but when I showed it to Joel from WMA, he thinks it could be a 1:12. I'll run a patch through to measure. Seller says it is Colt but there are no markings other than the forge marks at the back right of the rear sight. No markings on the barrel at all. Look how heavy it is under the hand guards. I just need to find a BCG and charging handle, so if anyone has a spare set let me now please. I. An shoot it off my .300 lower but Id like to get one eventually I I an find a great deal. A older one would be nice since the upper is older. We'll see.

He also has a slick-sided A1 upper with 20" barrel he wants $250.00 for, if anyone might be interested in it. I can get you in touch. He's going to sent me a pic later.

Here's some pics.

A little research tells me it is a Colt Model 723. 1/9 twist but I'm still going to verify that. There are a lot of pictures of 723's but not showing this particular heavy barrel.
