House Bill 2088 would consider it self-defense if someone, in fear of one's own life or in the defense of others, killed another during an armed robbery.

I hate politicians. This bill should never have been introduced (or needed)

It reads in part: "House Bill 2088 would consider it self-defense if someone, in fear of one's own life or in the defense of others, killed another during an armed robbery"

It is already considered self defense if you kill someone when in fear for you own life, robbery or not.

It sure as hell shouldn't be called the Jerome Ersland Act. This bill would have done nothing to keep the DA from filing [inflated] murder charges against Ersland. Not that Ersland did everything right but he should not have been charged with murder.
