We're already working on the sequel to the one we had in April. Stages are being dreamed up and tweaked. Food vendor has been chosen and we're cranking out more target stands, walls and other "things" to play with. However we hit a snag last time and are looking for help. None of us are very artful or computer savvy. We're needing some artwork for our t-shirt's. So help us dream up our t-shirt artwork and get it to us by September 30, 2011. Who ever provides the artwork that we choose, we'll take care of their entry fee!!
Match will be at the Ponca City Rifle and Pistol range, October 29, 2011.
Thanks
Jim

Are you sure?

October 28th is a Friday. I think you'll get more participation if it were held on Saturday the 29th.

You are correct the match will be on Saturday Oct 29.
We really do need to buy Jim a calendar.
More info will follow in the coming weeks. We have been asked to up the round count a bit. We like being able to take care of special requests, so we will see what we can do.

The first Hi-Cap Hose Down was fully off the chain!!! I expect that the next one will be even better. I didn't get my entery in on time for the first match, I won't make that mistake this time around. lol...

I've only shot at the Heartland matches. How intimidating would this one be for my inexperience level?

This is a "must not miss" match. Meaning if you miss this you WILL be sorry. If you look up the word "hosefest", the definition is Oklahoma High-Cap Hose Down Match.

Where can I read more about it? What is it? What designs are you visioning?
I'll post some youtube video's when I get off my phone and get to a computer, of the last hose-down.
With my single stack 1911, it required a minimum of 7 mag changes per stage. One will need to start a training program NOW to gain strength in your trigger finger. I'm not kidding either. Well, maybe a little, but, even the top shooters said that toward the end of each stage, they would start slowing down to their trigger finger getting more exercise than ever before. :D

Steve the only difference between this match or any other match compared to the heartland match is that they ae bigger. This one in particular is a kit bigger meaning you will want to have 50+ rounds on you for one stage. Tou know the safety protocol from heartland. You are ready for anything including 3 gun!

Here are a couple of videos from the first Hose Down

First: Average shooter, Me...

Second: your match winner, Hose Master Eric C.
