OKC Building Code for a deck

I'm not aware of the City of Oklahoma City requiring permits for building decks. If you want to verify, call the permit office. (405) 297-2948

From the OKC public works website.

Currently the City of Oklahoma City is utilizing:

International Building Code, 2003
The 1995 CABO One and Two Family Dwelling Code
National Electrical Code, 2008
International Plumbing Code, 2000
International Mechanical Code, 1996
Associated Supplements to Each Code.

I wonder how many decks there are in OKC that were actually built under a permit
New York State used google earth to see who had decks and pools in their yards that hadn't been declared for taxes, and busted them.
Not saying Ok is going to do the same but with technology, and the desire for the gubberment to tax the elephant dung out of us, I can see it happening here.

Oh wait.....drones....I'm forming a tin foil hat as we speak! LOL! :D

City of Norman is already using google earth to bust people with unpermitted pools, sheds, etc in their backyards.

The moral of this story is to move out of any city limits, period. Having paid government busy bodies to tell you what you can or can't do with property you paid for is ridiculous. I hate OKC they can take their chicken sh-t laws and stick a buffalo up their a--es. Screw a permit, we pay their salaries. Or I used to untill I got the hell out of that waste land.
