What is the matter with the folks in south Louisiana and Mississippi? We have virtually no 3 Gun activity. Any ideas on how we go about solving this issue?

The next best way would be to find a local IDPA or USPSA club and buddy up with the guys that run the matches. Then work on them to start 3 gun.

Start you on 3 gun matches - it's what I did. You'll like all the stages (since you designed them) and can shoot as often as you want. With my matches & 3MR matches, DFW shooters can shoot a 3 gun match 3 out of 4 weekends within an 1 1/2 hours.

Or, like Jesse said, buddy to the club Prez at your local pistol matches and volunteer to MD a 3 gun match. I'm sure they'll like the extra income and variety. If 3 gun is that sparse down there, you should have a killer turn out!!

If I do my own matches then I am sure to place at least. Probably sons will both beat me, but I could still figure out a way maybe to win.

That's easy, you just need to be the score keeper

I talked to someone at 3gun nationals last month about 3gun in central MS.
Seems time is one issue. There USPSA matches run 18 shooters deep per stage.
They start early and finish late, butt dragging tired. Other range activities fill in all the weekends time windows.
There are some diehard 3gunners there. If starting a new range is an option you should not
Have any problems getting players. It may not hurt to check with the powers to be at the Byrum range to see where they are on this subject. It has been discussed and cussed to tears I'm sure.
