Hey everyone! I'm new to the firearm forums. I just got out of FTO at my PD and I'm trying to learn more about tactical drills and exercises to improve my handgun handling skills.

Congrats! The best Leo shooters in the country shoot 3-gun and/or USPSA. It will push you by giving you goals for your gun handling and marksmanship. Look at Greg Jordan, Keith Garcia, & Bob Vogel.

Come shoot a match with us!

Welcome, stay safe out there! I am sure your FTO has already giving you the warning that you are going to see some crazy elephant dung in your career. You may see some crazy elephant dung here too, but its all in good fun that I have seen. Go shoot a match, have fun. Just getting trigger time will help you. I have been to FBI and DEA schools, yeah its fun as hell doing live fire room entries and all that tactical stuff, but what really helps is just putting rounds down range. I don't have much match experience, but can tell you my shooting is always improving as a result and its fun as hell. You get to move and shoot while getting your heart rate and breathing up all the while working on trigger control and sight alignment.
