So I finally broke down and found a target pistol on GBroker. Walther/Umarex SP22 M2 space gun.
Pic is of an M3, but the one I bought has the rails so looks like the pic.
Made in several versions, M1,2,3,4; with the M3 and M4 having a "match" barrel. Wondering where I can get that barrel - according to the manual should drop in.
Any folks here have experience with these?
I decided against a Ruger MkII / MkIII for two reasons: 1. price and 2. I've rented them and have issues with them tossing hot brass into my collar, and gas in my face. Even with goggles, long sleeves and gloves I'm covered with powder residue after a range session - not what I want to work around with a target gun. Shot a buckmark, didn't like the ergos. Same with the Beretta neos. I love the old High Standard guns (neighbor has an HD Military model that's terribly fun to shoot) but they're rare as hens' teeth and expensive to boot.
Should have it through Henry in a few days. Might even get to shoot it in September (being optimistic).
