My present to myself:
I was in PSA and finally pulled the trigger on a little Marlin .22lr rifle. Their website advertised it for $179 (originally $199) and the store honored the price, so it was a no-brainer. I'd been debating between this Marlin XT-22 RZ and a Savage MKII FV-SR. Both are bolt action, magazine fed .22lrs with threaded barrels and adjustable triggers. The Marlin has a 22" barrel and the Savage a 16", with the Marlin costing $100 less. My dad actually purchased the Savage for his suppressor a few months ago so I halfway purchased the Marlin to be different and to save money. The Savage has a nicer stock, but other than that, the Marlin is just as good. I'm hoping the 22" barrel will provide slightly tighter groups than my dad's, but we'll see. I'm off to Innovative to start the ball rolling on a .22 suppressor this week...hopefully THAT will come before Memorial Day '13.

Wife's Present:
Walther P22 in Black and Lime Carbon. She saw this same color scheme 6 months ago, passed on it, and I JUST saw it again last weekend so I got it for her. She has a PK380 so the layout of the pistol should be familiar with her. I got an Innovative thread adapter while I was at it to run the suppressor on this when it arrives. Maybe it's just me, but I think ALL handguns should come with at least 1 extra magazine. This one didn't, and new ones are more than Glock mags
But, it did come with adjustable sights... should be perfect for the suppressor.
