There is a new gun show coming to the Charleston Area. Specifically to the Charleston convention center. I have never hear of them before, but plan on attending just to see what their is to see. Since this wasnt on the 2012 show schedule I figured it deserved a topic all to itself. Anyone know anything about this show, or about South Carolina Arms Collectors Association? Planning to attend?

They have done the shows up in Greenville, SC for quite a while. Pretty good show. Took me 3 hours to walk through and look at everything when they were here in August. Of course it all depends on what dealers show up and what they bring.

I regularly attend the SCACA shows in Greenville. They are bigger and better than the ones I've attended in Ladson. It really does take hours to see everything.

South Carolina Arms Collectors has done shows in both Columbia for years now. We(I am a lowly member) have just expanded to a venue in Charleston.
I sincerely hope it goes over well.I urge attendance.SACA shows attract good vendors.

I will try to make it this weekend. Does anyone know if it is the same vendors that usually show at the Mike Kent shows that are at the Ladson fairgrounds? The SCACA said that the parking was free for the show.

I'll be there helping HarperJT work a table. Should be sporting a Palmetto Shooters tee shirt.
If you see an HK 23e beltfed hanging from a tripod mount that's us, we should be real easy to find!

Wasn't bad. I went looking for a rail system, regular or free-float, but couldn't find one I could afford. Some nice old and new guns and some stuff over-priced. Wasn't too crowded either, nice venue.

Enjoyed the show this morning. Picked up some ammo from Jeff at Precision One. Going back in the morning with my brother and look for a CCW for him. There were some excellent prices on certain guns and a great venue. Not crowded but plenty to see. Liked the knife makers wish I could afford some of the knives I saw. All in all, Superior to the Exchange Park show. I need a handguard for an M4 myself. :D

Beat the s#@t outta the fair grounds as a venue. The AC works and the place is well lit. The isles are wide and nice clean restrooms. The staff make rounds with a broom and dustpan keeping things tidy. The loading dock makes things easy for vendors also. NO DIRT PARKING LOT, that's right you park on asphalt, no dust or mud!

The only complaint I have is the lack of parts/accessories dealers, but I imagine that will change. I hope they continue bringing this show to town it's a winner in my book.

I went by this morning. I have skipped the last few Ladson gun shows because its too crowded for me to enjoy. This venue has so much more space and wider isles. I was able look at everything without bumping and pushing against other people. I hope they continue to do shows down here. I'll never go back to Ladson.

Among the first things I said to my wife when we went was the AC works, it had better lighting, and I didn?t have to walk sideways to get down the aisles. I only really got to browse half the show because i had to work that night, and needed feed my sleep habit (stupid addictions). Much shorter walk from the parking lot, and i could actually breath for a change (no allergy attacks from the parking lot = much yayness)(stupid body needing oxygen).

I got a 10/22 for a good price, a can of 762x54 (w/ can opener!!!!) for a great price, and picked up some random gear i didn?t know i was looking for.

I did have a problem with cell phone reception, and so did a few of the vendors i dealt with. Got a laugh from Dr. Mosin selling Mosin Nagants with a coat of lacquer for 400 a pop, but hey, if it works for him? And the lab coat was a nice touch for marketing at least.

All in all a superior show. I hope we have more of them. So much better than the Ladson show.

I saw him walking away and thought he could be a flasher with the bare legs hanging out . :o

I really liked the venue.
FAR superior to the fair grounds.
This will be my show of choice in the future.
I think they could have done a better job of getting the word out.
I really hope they made enough to keep it there.
