Hello everyone,

I just stumbled accross this site and wanted to register and say Hi! I am originally from Tulsa and moved up to Monkey Island last year to open a restaurant. Before i moved i was shooting IDPA at USSA and Oil Capitol at least once a month. Due to time constraints i havent hardly been able to pull a trigger in the past year and i havent liked it one bit! So, starting next month i am going to MAKE time to start shooting again and try to hit at least one club USPSA/IDPA/3gun match a month.

Sooo... Howdy!

Any info on action pistol/rifle matches in the tri-state area would be welcome! Also, i am looking for a gunsmith to have a Reminton 1100 barrel cut down to 22-24inches and threaded for chokes.

Thanks, and good to be here!

Restaurant is The Roadhouse, its been part of Grand Lake since 1978... My brother and i had a chance to buy it at a good price last year so we went for it. He is a big bass fisherman and i do the shooting in the family. lol.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

First of all, Welcome To BoomerShooter!
Grand lake is my most favorite lake in the universe. I've tournament fished it many times, and spent recreational time on it. Almost bought some retirement property lakeside, but it got to a bidding war, and I backed out. I regret it to this day.
We have stayed at Shangri-la, Terra Miranda, Longs, and so many other places I can't remember. My relatives founded the city of Ketchum back in the day.
We have dined at the Roadhouse a couple of times in the past. Good stuff.
You've certainly found the site to find places to shoot. Hope to see you at one of the USPSA matches at Ponca City one of these days!

I'll be in Ketchum in two weeks. If we get the chance, we may try to swing by monkey island and eat. Welcome to the site.
