New FFL

Well guys/gals, I have officially been through the process to obtain my type 01 FFL. I met with the ATF this morning as the last step in the process. 30 days or so out, I will be operational for transfers in the Charleston area. Discounts for forum members of course.....

im just wondering, where did you meet the ATF?

if someone in, say, Spartanburg was to meet them where would it be?

not that i want to meet, im just want to know, are they everywhere ? hahaha.

Part of the process to obtain your license is to "meet" with the ATF at your place of "business."

In this case, was at my kitchen table. It's basically a meeting where they go over all of the requirements for the application, and correct any errors or missing info from the application. Then it's a discussion on all of the rules and regulations that you are required to follow. Basically so you can't play dumb in the future if something goes down.

And yes, they are everywhere. Charleston has a satellite office, with 3 local IOI's (industry operations investigator). They are separate from the criminal side of the branch.
