I had an interesting experience with my new Stag 3G yesterday and today. Yesterday, when I was loading rounds singly while zeroing, there were a few times where I couldn't put the rifle on safe after firing without manually charging it. I finally figured I must have been pulling the trigger immediately after reset, thus dry firing the rifle. That was confirmed today when I had rounds in a mag while confirming my zero. I had two incidences of a second round firing immediately after the first. I am assuming the light Geissele trigger either rebounded or my surprise break resulted in the rifle recoiling before I finished the trigger press and cycled in time to be fired again before I could press the trigger far enough to activate the disconnector. This trigger is very fast, but it is going to take some getting used to for long range.

I certainly noticed. I don't know how the 3G compares to other purpose-built competition platforms, but compared to my stock Bushmaster M4-gery, that rifle is amazing. Do you ever put on classes or clinics there in OK on 3 gun, or are you too busy with competing and practicing in the off season?

I think Jesse's been planning a stag rifle only class, for only those guys that own Stag 3g rifles. That was you guy can learn about the secret pro rifle tips from one of the Pros.

Just sounds like you need to work on keeping the rifle seated and not let it "bumpfire" It will just take some time to get use to. I have borrowed a 3g and never had it happen ... yet.

As for the special pro class from Jesse in OK can I just put a walmart smile face sticker on the receiver and call it 3g?

Jesse is spot on. The 3G bump fires easily if you get lazy and dont hold the rifle tight. My cousin found that out last weekend after he installed one in his rifle.
