Look on the bright side: this means there won't be anymore funeral details that accompany a casket on commercial flights, which means that the TSA won't be ordering soldiers and marines in their dress uniforms to completely disrobe before boarding the flight because their medals keep setting off the metal detectors.

I LOOOOVVVEEEEED getting the disrobe order from TSA in uniform, fortunately for me it was only when I was in DCUs or ACUs. What I hated was having to take off my boots. Getting the trousers blouses back just right is not so easy in an X-ray machine line while collecting your property.

I'm glad I got out before that. I used to travel commercial in BDUs with my helmet bag as carryon, with my issued wirecutter/ I mean bayonet in it and never even got a second look. Now GIs are barely above the terrorists themselves in terms of trust level. That in itself tells me the terrorists have won - we as a nation are afraid of everything now.
