N.C. Senate panel agrees to give more leeway to people faced with intruder at home, car, work

People who feel threatened for their lives in their home, car or job by someone forcibly breaking in would have a stronger legal basis to use deadly force against the intruder in a measure approved unanimously by a state Senate judiciary committee.
