Got my new remington 700 sps tactical .308 all put together and got to take it out for the first time. Not only is this my first bolt rifle but its the first time I've ever shot a rifle...yup I'm a newb. I had a blast and was pleased with my results for the first time. First shots were from 100 yards using pmc bronze 147gr fmj on the first target to zero. First three shots were high left but a tight group. Once I accounted for wind which was about 20mph and dropped elevation I was a able to bring the shots in pretty good I thought. I changed targets and took 20 shots using atomic match nosler 168gr bthp shown on the second pic. I am pleased with my results an excited for my new found addiction. Hopefully now I can find somewhere else now to take it out farther than 100!

The set up:
Remington 700 sps tactical .308
Millett trs-1
Weaver 20moa rail with weaver 30mm med rings
Harris bipod sbrm 6-9
Tac ops cheek pad
Tab rear bag
Quake claw sling

Nice looking rifle! Its pretty fun stretching it out at the longer ranges, but it sure brings it to a new level of learning. Are you using your reloads, or factory ammo?

thanks Dennis! I'm using factory ammo. I can't find any components at all for handloading so I gave up. For now I'm just loading up on factory ammo mostly hornady custom match 168gr bthp or amax. Have some other stuff atomic nosler competition 168gr bthp and some other various stuff remington, federal, pmc. Just going to hang on to my brass in hopes to handload eventually.
