Mom with pistol defends herself and kids against career criminal in her own home. Glad she was armed and prepared. Just too bad she didn't end his career.

But those wise and all-knowing political and celebrity talking heads would tell us that if she had posted a "No Tresspassing" or "This is a Crime Free Zone" sign this wouldn't have happened. Signs help prevent crimes, if you think that sounds stupid well that's what our VP thought when he developed the Gun Free School Zones and other laws which established other restrictive "gun free zones" to which psycho criminals pay no attention. Oh and then note how many times this yahoo has been in and out of jail? WHERE ARE THE REAL ISSUES, oh of course it's with armed citizens.

I am wondering:

If he lives and goes to jail- if and when he gets out, do you think he will have learned his lesson? Hopefully so, for he will be lucky indeed to survive through this.

Thank God the woman and her children are ok, what a horrible thing to go through in your own home. Even more horrible to think what could have happened if she were unarmed. I shudder to just think of it.

the lesson, if he learned one , is to take his own gun probably.

80% of crime is commited by repeat offenders. and thats an old stat.

Obviously, the guy couldn't count to six.

Luckily, the mom had to face only one intruder. Suppose there were two?

The low-information media types should learn a few things:

Handgun ammo is first a stopper, not a kiler.

Ten rounds are often not enough to stop a drugged, violent perpetrator.

If a 10+ mag came with the gun, it's standard, not high-capacity.

Too bad she didn't have a XDM with 19+1 she could have done the courts a favor.

Or one of those evil AR's with 30 rounds..

Thanks for posting! So glad that she was able to protect herself!
Alot of spouses work away from home and have family members alone at home. All member's of the family should get
the proper training to protect themselves in case situations like this occur!

And a favor to the ones who will have to foot his hospital bill, taxpayers or patients w/insurance, same people I guess.

Yeah, this guy already had a revolving door in the system.

It was very nice to see this story finally made it to CNN.com and even ABC news TV way up here. This needs to happen WAY more often so that people will get a little more educated about why they firearms are needed in this country!

My wife didnt like guns until I took her shooting.
Now she carries a P32 with a 10 round magazine at all times.
We have 2 children and she will use it if she needs too.
