Mayors Against Guns

I took a quick look over at the website for Bloomberg's anti-gun mayors group. There are currently two mayors from SC that are members. Other mayors that are members of this anti-gun group have been convicted of crimes including assaulting officers and constituents, corruption, extortion, theft, obstruction of justice, bribery, perjury, tax evasion, child porn, battery, and child molestation. One of the Mayors against guns was convicted of illegally carrying a gun.

They even go so far as to keep dead mayors on their list of members and these same dead members have actually signed letters to congress and to the president.

I'm glad to see my mayor is not a member. Here are the members of Mayors Against Guns near you. Even though I'm not one of their constituents, I think I might be writing a letter asking to know why they oppose my rights and why they are members of this anti-gun group.

*shaking my head* Wish I could say I was surprised, but I'm not.

Maybe I can find time during naptime to write up some letters too.

Regrettably the mayor of Sumter has been in office for about 12 years now, so its probably tough to dislodge him.

I wonder if he is even aware of the radical nature of the MAIG agenda.

I haven't seen this particular story pop up here yet, so i thought i would share it. I'm not sure if Paul Quander (District's of Columbia deputy mayor for public safety and justice) is a member of MAG (am i the only one that finds that acronym amusing?) or not, but his solution to the problems of guns on the street - crime victims should give the criminals what they want.

That doesn't particularly surprise me. Up until recently, you couldn't even possess a gun in DC. Of course the criminals still did.

As far as Mayor Riley goes, I know that he has no intention of leaving MAG and fully supports their agenda. It's about time for the Nation's longest serving mayor to step down and get replaced.
