Hell, I was there...well about 200 yards away at work. I didnt hear the shooting, and didnt know anything happened until I saw the flashing police and ambulance lights.

This is a pretty good article...and spot on about the total media shutdown after they realized it was a justified self defense action by law abiding citizens.

The jerk got what he deserved. Wanna brandish, expect to get shot.

With no collateral damage to anything in the vicinity, I'd suspect these guys were not casual shooters.

I agree with the author. I would think that a shooting in a mall should have made the news but this story doesn't go along with their agenda.

If more people in these situations spent more time on the range practicing, this would become the norm, and maybe then the people that attempt the robbery, or carjacking, or whatever crime might learn that "Criminal" is a very UNhealthy profession to choose. Of course that assumes/supposes one thing, that they even care about their own life in the first place.

Interesting side notes:

The Mall is not a gun free zone.
The movie theatre is a gun free zone (these guys were on their way to the movies, but this shooting was in the parking lot)
The dead perp pulled a Lorcin .380 and hit the good samaritan in the shoulder
The CCW holder pulled a Glock .40 (model unknown)
My source did not divulge the number of shots fired.
