Looking for somewhere to shoot targets with bow and arrow in the North Charleston / Summerville / Goose Creek area or thereabouts.

Total beginner, something low key. My 7 year old also has a bow and wants to learn.

Anybody got any ideas? Can be a range, public space where it is legal, or anything else.

Thanks in advance for any input.

ATP closed thier archery range almost two years ago due to a lack of business. They use the space for storage now. (go in the front door and look up and to the left. that glassed in area was the archery range). the place off 78 by the law complex is the only one i have been able to find. I have to say the few times i went there i was not impressed with the indoor range. it did not appear to get used much, and while its better than nothing I was not happy teacching my kids to shoot thier bows there.

The only place I know of is in Aynor, its about 2 hours from Charleston tho.

Also Atlantic game and tackle in Mt p., it does cost $5 though. But it is climate controlled and the pro shop archer helped me out and the information he provided was worth more than the cover fee. He also didn't push a particular bow and talk smack about your equipment. He understands not everyone can afford to shoot brand x bows and brand z arrows.

No its outback. You can see it from the road. You can miss the bar its got rebel flags out front. 1.50 Budweiser signs. Looks like they keep targets out on posts that are about sox feet tall. Take 206 not sire if a or b. The one going away from the hospital and keep looking left its about a quarter mile or so from the 26 ramp.
