No, I will not miss the rain.
No, I have never tried competitive shooting sports.
The Winchester Model 12 is my favorite shotgun of all time. I will never sell or trade any of the ones that I have. I still use some of them for hunting.

The Winchester Model 12 is my favorite shotgun of all time. I will never sell or trade any of the ones that I have. I still use some of them for hunting.
Absolutly love my model 12's. Just looking at the engineering, and workmanship in them is impressive. Sadly, that is what pushed them out of the market. The factory couldn't justify all of the machining and hand work.
I was given my last one, as it wouldn't lock up, the buttstock was broken, and it basically looked like hell.
Decided to take it on as a project.
First look:
And finally got it rust blue'd, and put a new stock on it that I finished myself. It was built in 1928, and doesn't give a shell length designation on the barrel, as it was in the 40's before the 3" models came out.
