Dozer work on two new 35 yard pistol bays, and the backstop for a 300 yard rifle bay WILL start Nov 28 At the Ponca City Rifle and Pistol Club range. Funds were approved by a vote of the members.

Thanks all, for coming to shoot with us. Your participation will only do more to continue making this a destination for shooters! :D

Yea, I was so excited when the vote went through. I went to the meeting expecting to win one bay and then Dennis suggested we spend the money to build both bays. I almost could have fallen out of my chair. Then we had some discussion about what we are doing, the pistol program plans and had the vote. It passed with lots of votes to spare. You don't know how much restraint it took to not jump out of my chair and do a great big fist pump in the air. I held my cool, but it was difficult.
You guys are part of the reason we were able to convince the club to support our program. Thank You.
The bays should be built by the next USPSA match, but we will have to see if it will be smooth enough and rock hauled in to be able to use it. Hopefully it will all work out. It will be pretty cool having 4 bays all on the same side.
Are you guys ready for the next Hose Down to be 5 or 6 stages requiring around 360 rounds? I am.

Thanks Guys
Scott

That's Awesome! :72:  :cool2: :1rij: :singing: :13: :You_Rock_Emoticon: :bravo_2:

Can't wait to see the new digs! Pun intended!

Congratulations!

I had a good time up there last weekend, when you build the new bays make the walls really high to block the wind LOL Later,

Kirk

Sounds like okcgc and USSA ate gonna have some competition in the competition shooting. I'm really glad to hear this very good news!!!

Awesome, now if I can just get some good waterfowl hunting close to that area I can have one hell of a shooting Saturday every month!!

This is really great news! Things already run smooth at your matches and this improvement will make things even better!

Kaw lake is intensely managed for waterfowl, and Sooner lake is near by. No more excuses!

Hahaha!!! I wish it was that simple Dennis.

I don't have a boat, and I'm not fighting all the idiots who hunt sooner..... I did that in 2009.

I'll find ponds and fields that are high in waterfowl traffic around sooner lake, and get permission. That way I can be out of the field and on my way to Ponca City before 8am.

Dennis the guy that built my berms is outstanding and the price is right. He has time to push some dirt around for you right now too. Give me a call and ill give you his number.

OK sports fans, we were delayed by weather, but the dozer got in there this morning and started moving dirt. Looks like 5-6 days of work for the dozer, then we will get in there with a tractor and start putting in drainage, and getting rock hauled/spred for roads. Looks to be a busy December.
