Is this CZ good to go for production?

Hey folks.. new to the site and had a quick question.

I'm coming into a little extra cash. I've been wanting to give competition shooting a go for a while now. Thought I'd buy myself a decent comp gun.

I've looked over the production list and I think this gun is on there but thought I'd ask to make sure. Can I use this gun? http://oakhillguns.com/pistol/cz-usa/cz-75-sp01-custom-shadow-target-9mm.html

I appreciate any help.

Tom

You're spending a LOT of money that personally, I don't think is needed.

You'll get the same utility with a lot of extra cash by going with a SP-01 worked on by Cajun Gun Works ~$1,000 out the door. Or if you've got bigger hands and a mechanical aptitude, a Tanfo Stock2/3 or Limited Pro with ~$200 in parts to put you $1,100 out of the door.

Both options offer super fine pistols that national champs shoot.

Thanks a lot!

@Scott - the only thing about that path is waiting for 2 1/2-3 months to get my gun back. But def9nitely worth considering.

T - I can give you tons of info on doing the work at home. Another forum has some great write-ups.

If you can detail strip a gun and put it back together, doing 85%+ of the work the smiths would do is easily achievable at home.
