IPSC, USPSA, Practical Shooting, Action Shooting, You have all heard the names of the action shooting sports, seen them on TV and know they look really cool and fun. If you have been interested in trying the game, but are not sure how to get started, we have an opportunity for you. This Saturday from 9 till about noon there will be an introduction to practical shooting seminar. It will be informal to allow you to learn about the shooting sports and try your hand at shooting a stage. Highly qualified range officers will be on sight to help and instruct you to get started. It is free and open to the public, so bring your shooting buddy and come to the Ponca City Rifle and Pistol Club to get started in the most fun you can legally have with a pistol.
What you will need to bring:
A center fire pistol
about 20-30 rounds of ammo, you can bring more if you want to keep trying the stage.
A holster or gun bag to put the gun in.
2 magazines for the pistol
A desire to have some fun.
With this being short notice of the seminar, please respond to [email protected] to let us know you are coming out. Use the same email if you have any questions.

This is great!!
FREE TRAINING!!!!
I've never been to you guy's club but I'm really liking what I'm seeing posted from/about you.

This is the second seminar that has been put on. They do a very good job with the presentation. The practical where one gets to actually shoot a stage is new for this session.
I hope some folks that have been teetering on the fence about getting into this sport will take advantage.

Dennis, you should really emphasize the FREE TRAINING in this thread. :D

yeah great idea, people should really take advantage of FREE training.. all the people that say "well i am just not sure if i want to do competitions" now they will have no excuse...

With this rain, it may be canceled. I'll find out for sure, and be sure to post it.
I'll be out at the range this evening after work.
