The sloped portion of the mount forward of the threads mates with a similarly planed surface inside the suppressor which forms a seal keeping the threads and teeth clean. The latch doesn't ratchet down like an AAC 51T mount; the can does thread on a series of coarse threads and then the latch "gate" is closed, whose teeth engage the tooth ring on the mount, preventing rotational movement. Locks up nice and tight; zero wobble. Can't wait to shoot it at the range; Phillip (IA owner) shot a few subs out of it and it was great

No brake yet but it'd be an easy thing to whip up. This is the only one that's been sold so far (they released a picture of a range day about a year ago and I saw some R&D on the table I didn't recognize...bugged the owner (Phillip) to death about it and he worked with me)...Phil has one or two on his personal guns but so far none others.

I've got to finish a grad school paper and a final this week and then figure out when, with a new baby, I can sneak out and shoot. The three subsonic .30 cal rounds I shot through it were oh so quiet...I can't wait for more

Range Update!!

Went to the range yesterday FINALLY. Got to shoot the suppressor on my AR Pistol (10.5") and my Rem 700 .308 (20").

I confirmed the zero without the suppressor and then shot the first three rounds through the can at a clean target. They were my handloads: 168gr Nosler BTHPs over 45gr of 2000-MR powder at 2.815". I wasn't really shooting to obtain the best groups; just shooting off my bipod, and the group size was definitely under an inch outside-to-outside. However, I was more concerned with POI shift, which was 3/4" low and right at the 5 o'clock position. I was happy due to the weight that the shift wasn't any lower. The tapered portion of the mount definitely mated up tight to the respective portion of the can and kept the threads and teeth clean and carbon free.

Here's a video of me shooting a few subsonics. I was shooting 150gr Hornady FMJs over Trail Boss. The first round was 10 grains which I think went supersonic, the second two were 9.5gr which sounded better; all loaded to the cannelure (around 2.805").
