....the first of the month govt checks are going out. Im a disabled vet that receives a disability award monthly, and you know what my funds were deposited this morning.

Im soooooo sick of hearing that the sky is falling. Dont believe all the political fearmongering. Let's default and see what happens, can't be too much worse than what we got going right now. Let's shut this mother down and rip off the band aid quickly. We wont do something about it till we absolutely have to, so I say sooner rather than later.

Yeah, I'm tired of hearing that old people will be out on the street, policemen and fireman will be fired next Tuesday if "we don't do something"

It's all CRAP

so S will not HTF? well elephant dung, I got some guns to sell then... Now I can get back to my true passion- interpretive dance :682: :party0036:

What happened in 1980? Was it Devo?

Seriously though something has to change. I am not a politics guy by any means but Taymoor's cousin Obama is messin' some elephant dung up in DC.

I'll buy them for $3.50.

This is the ultimate budget cut. 40% instantly! It will probably won't even last a week though.

I have never understood the whole argument. "We must borrow more money, so that we can pay back the money we have borrowed". I think they will just keep spending. One day it will catch up with us. I am sick of the "Grandma is going to eat dog food" if we don't let them spend more money.

grandma's taste buds aren't what they used to be. She might like it

raising the debt ceiling to keep from defaulting is equivalent to raising the BAC level to decrease the amount of drunk drivers on the road.

How long can all this last until we have an economic fallout that crumbles the government?

The only thing that really bothers me is that if the government finally collapses it would take awhile to get our infrastructure back up as it at capacity or barely operating as it is in places.

Mabey it's the antarchist in me but I wanna see what happens if we do defult. Mabey it would bring around another great depression, but the last great depression built ALOT of hoodspa in most if not all Americans, and that is something that is in short supply now days.

There is talk that even if we don't defult that the credit rating agencies are gonna down grade us anyway. Probably the best thing for the country, mabey we (americans) can get back to EARNING everything that we have.

Ya know maybe we need to let it crap out! and make it a government for the people by the people like back in the day, actually get back to manufacturing some thing in the US again, drill some of that oil we have here, quit taking care of countries there is not chance of helping, drop the UN and kick NAFTA to the curb what the US needs right now is an enema just too much elephant dung built up we need to clear out so we can get healthy again. Sometimes you don't need to fix things that are broken and if you do try to fix them and it doesn't work well try something else.

Biggest question I have is if I borrow money and borrow money I have to pay it back eventually how is the government different? if I can't pay it back I can't go to work and tell them some stupid crazy story about if they don't pay me more I'll not be able to pay my electric bill or buy gas or worse buy ammo or guns so I'll be happy. Later,

Kirk
